Survey Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Survey Engineer specializing in utilities and infrastructure projects, particularly within consultancy or project management consultant (PMC) settings. The role involves overseeing precise surveying, setting out, and ensuring all site activities comply with defined project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct surveying activities for utilities and infrastructure components including roads, drainage systems, water, and sewer networks.
• Set up control points and benchmarks to guarantee accurate layout of construction works.
• Critically assess contractor survey submissions, shop drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Validate survey results ensuring they meet project specifications and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards.
• Coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, and onsite teams to resolve issues and streamline work progress.
• Prepare comprehensive survey reports, perform calculations, and maintain essential documentation.
• Oversee contractor survey operations to ensure compliance with approved procedures and methodologies.
• Operate surveying equipment such as Total Station, GPS with RTK capabilities, and leveling tools proficiently on-site.
• Assist with progress evaluations and verification of quantities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or closely related disciplines.
• Between 5 and 10 years of practical experience focused on utilities and infrastructure projects.
• Essential experience within engineering consultancy or PMC environments on the consultant side.
• In-depth knowledge of surveying standards, site supervision practices, and QA/QC protocols.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and survey-specific software applications.
• Preference given to candidates with prior involvement in projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
• Strong interpersonal abilities fostering effective communication and coordination.
