Overview
The Loss Prevention Supervisor at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha, Qatar, holds responsibility for maintaining the safety and security of the property and its occupants. This full-time, on-site position entails proactive monitoring, emergency response, and enforcing security protocols to protect both guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the hotel premises and secure various rooms.
- Assist guests with room access and manage emergency response drills.
- Perform daily safety inspections, key control audits, and investigations.
- Oversee CCTV and alarm systems to monitor for potential security breaches.
- Authorize and document access to restricted areas, ensuring compliance with alcoholic beverage laws.
- Respond swiftly to accidents or emergencies, administering first aid or CPR as needed and coordinating with emergency medical services.
- Defuse conflicts and handle disturbances in accordance with company policies.
- Escort unauthorized or disruptive individuals off the property.
- Assist management in training, coaching, and motivating security staff, acting as a role model promoting fair treatment and open communication.
- Maintain confidentiality for all sensitive information, reports, and documents, sharing only with authorized personnel.
- Report hazards, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management promptly.
- Maintain professional appearance and adhere to company policies, fostering a welcoming environment for guests by anticipating and addressing their needs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing, including telephone etiquette.
- Support team goals by building positive work relationships and responding appropriately to colleague concerns.
- Comply with quality standards and complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Physical and Operational Requirements
- Visual verification of information in varied formats and inspection of tools and equipment.
- Ability to move quickly in response to work situations, including walking, jogging, or running as needed.
- Capability to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods during shifts.
- Lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds independently, and more than 75 pounds with assistance.
- Move safely across uneven, slippery, or elevated surfaces as well as stairs and ramps.
- Perform physical movements such as bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, and stooping.
- Navigate confined or narrow spaces.
Qualifications
- Minimum educational qualification: High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- At least two years of relevant experience in loss prevention or security roles.
- Minimum one year in a supervisory capacity.
- No specific licenses or certifications required, although some locations may have additional requirements.
