About the Company
Our firm specializes in structural engineering consultancy with expertise in steel structure design, temporary works engineering, and geotechnical support systems. We focus on providing safe, practical, and cost-effective engineering solutions adhering to European Standards (Eurocodes), covering Temporary Platform Design, Excavation Retaining & Support Systems (ERSS), shoring, falsework, foundation design, and oil & gas pipe support structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze temporary steel structures utilizing STAAD.Pro software.
- Perform ERSS design, including components such as sheet piles, soldier piles, diaphragm walls, struts, walers, anchors, and bracing systems.
- Develop designs for temporary working platforms, falsework, formwork, and shoring systems used in construction projects.
- Design and assess steel structures in compliance with Eurocode standards (EN 1993).
- Execute foundation design while aligning with geotechnical requirements and collaborate with geotechnical teams.
- Design structural supports for oil and gas pipelines and pipe racks.
- Prepare comprehensive structural calculations, design reports, and engineering documentation.
- Evaluate and incorporate various design loads such as dead, live, wind, seismic, construction, and equipment loads.
- Ensure all designs meet European Standard codes and project specifications.
- Liaise with civil, geotechnical, and construction departments during project phases.
- Optimize structural designs for safety, cost efficiency, and ease of construction.
- Review fabrication shop drawings and offer technical assistance during construction and fabrication stages.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and design.
- Experience with Eurocode standards including EN 1990, EN 1991, EN 1992, EN 1993, EN 1997, and EN 1998.
- Knowledge and practical experience in ERSS systems, shoring, temporary platforms, falsework, and steel structure design.
- Understanding of foundation engineering principles and geotechnical concepts.
- Familiar with structural design of oil and gas pipe supports.
- Working knowledge of ETABS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PLAXIS and SAP2000 is a plus.
- Capability to independently prepare detailed structural calculation reports and deliver completed designs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Three to ten or more years of professional experience in structural design.
- Experience in international projects following European Standards.
