Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, your main responsibility will be to embed preventive quality measures throughout the production process, enhancing factory capabilities and ensuring products meet customer expectations. You will also support quality control and inspection initiatives within an integrated quality management system.
- Implement upstream quality management by integrating production process controls, performing root cause analyses, and resolving quality problems to prevent defects early in production.
- Conduct risk evaluations during pre-production meetings and line reviews in collaboration with factory representatives.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts within factories to uphold and surpass required quality standards.
- Provide routine training sessions for vendor and factory teams, emphasizing customer requirements, quality standards, and nurturing a quality-centric mindset.
- Communicate updates on new quality requirements to factories and share case studies to facilitate ongoing enhancements.
- Monitor corrective action plan implementations and assess their effectiveness in improving quality.
- Regularly track production status and work-in-progress timelines to identify risks and prepare for quality assurance activities.
- Coordinate with involved stakeholders to resolve quality issues and develop solutions together with factory partners.
- Supervise daily factory operations, including compliance matters.
- Oversee the effectiveness of internal quality control systems within factories, such as sharp tool management and needle detection procedures.
- Collaborate with sales teams regarding quantity, delivery schedules, direct shipments, and order booking issues related to HFC, CPO, and purchase orders.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated experience working in quality assurance within the textile industry.
- Creative and technically skilled with strong understanding of garment and textile production nuances.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current QA and QC methodologies and industry best practices.
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabric selection, trims, and printing techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe software, and Excel.
