Solution Engineer Intern - Ru'aa Program at Microsoft

Join Microsoft in Riyadh and participate in a unique internship designed to accelerate Saudi nationals' employability through the Ru'aa program. This full-time, six-month internship blends classroom learning with hands-on experience under expert mentorship. Interns will immerse themselves in Microsoft's culture and mission, gaining technical and soft skills alongside meaningful project involvement in digital transformation initiatives.

Program Structure

The internship unfolds in two distinct phases:

• Phase 1 - Onboarding & Skilling (1 month): Introduction to Microsoft's core values, mission, and organizational setup; intensive technical training focused on earning Microsoft-recognized certifications; comprehensive professional development covering project and change management, interpersonal skills, creativity, innovation, and effective time management.
• Phase 2 - On-the-Job Training (5 months): Hands-on role as a Solution Engineer Intern involving shadowing, mentoring, coaching, and direct involvement in projects that support Microsoft teams. This phase includes exposure to advanced technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, and Cloud Computing.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of customer needs and contribute to shaping product and competitive strategies based on customer feedback.
• Utilize training materials to expand knowledge domains, engage with customers under supervision, and foster readiness within internal teams.
• Participate actively in customer interactions through shadowing and context research to build expertise on Microsoft products.
• Gain practical experience with reference architectures and assist in demonstrating Microsoft technologies via prepared presentations.

Candidate Requirements

• Enrollment in or completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Business, or related disciplines.
• Saudi national with legal authorization to work in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
• A strong passion for technology and a keen customer-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Balanced business and technical acumen with skills in negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal relations.
