Our Approach to Work

Mutinex embraces emerging trends in software engineering by shifting focus from manual implementation to strategic planning, orchestration, and judgment. Engineers guide AI agents, scrutinize outputs, and contribute to decisions involving architecture, design, and product features. Manual coding is gradually becoming less frequent.

Currently, Claude Code serves as the main AI development tool, supported by the internal platform 'Forge' that consolidates shared abilities, agents, and integrations capturing team expertise. Weekly AI Office Hours facilitate collaboration on real challenges, with monitoring of AI usage and delivery timelines to ensure quality. Every engineer is encouraged to cultivate AI proficiency.

The future goal is to develop workflows where AI handles ideation, task segmentation, implementation, test creation, code review preparation, and release note generation, allowing engineers to focus on complex thinking AI cannot perform, such as problem decomposition and architectural decisions. New team members will help shape this evolution.

Role Overview

The Software Engineer will contribute technically to the development and scaling of core platforms including DataOS (which automates data ingestion and processing) and GrowthOS/MAITE (a customer-facing growth co-pilot). This full-stack position involves working wherever the highest impact projects are.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and launch features from backend data models to frontend interfaces using AI agents as the central development tool.
• Develop and refine skills in assessing AI outputs critically, identifying inaccuracies such as fabricated APIs, erroneous states, security flaws, and inadequate tests.
• Engage in platform architecture development by deepening understanding of design rationales to enhance AI direction.
• Establish and uphold rigorous guardrails including testing protocols, verification methodologies, and review practices to maintain rapid release pace.
• Work collaboratively with teams across product, design, data science, and engineering to prioritize impactful builds.
