Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Digital & Engineering Practice team in Auckland. This role involves collaborating within a squad that contributes throughout the complete software development lifecycle. You'll work closely with experienced engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to develop secure, reliable software solutions that deliver valuable outcomes for customers and the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, and ongoing support.
• Create and maintain software systems that are secure, reliable, and high-performing.
• Engage in peer code reviews and uphold high engineering standards.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives within the team.
• Collaborate with squad members to prioritize customer-focused results.
• Enhance your skills in enterprise engineering and DevOps practices.
• Maintain and improve existing applications and platforms.
• Contribute to an Agile work environment that encourages collaboration, learning, and professional growth.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a tertiary qualification in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience in the industry.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience in software design, development, testing, and support.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a readiness to tackle unfamiliar technical challenges.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to work well with colleagues and stakeholders.
• A customer-centric approach focused on delivering quality solutions.
• A passion for continuous learning and skill enhancement.
• Understanding of engineering best practices including risk management and compliance standards.
