About The Role
The Creatives, a prominent design, marketing, and web development studio based in New Plymouth, Taranaki, seeks a strategic and creative Social & Content Specialist. Our team crafts striking brands, captivating content, and compelling websites for startups and established clients across New Zealand and Australia. As verified partners of Squarespace and Shopify, our focus extends beyond platforms to the impactful content that stops audiences mid-scroll.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive content calendars and campaigns in collaboration with clients.
- Serve as the primary social media liaison for an assigned group of clients, maintaining daily communications.
- Create briefs and shot lists to guide our videographer and photographer toward producing polished visual material.
- Produce authentic, quick-turnaround user-generated content (UGC) style videos using mobile devices, including talking heads, testimonials, trending content, and behind-the-scenes footage.
- Craft engaging captions and hooks that reflect distinct brand personalities, avoiding generic templates.
- Generate content tailored to each stage of the customer journey, from initial awareness through to customer loyalty.
Candidate Profile
- Deep passion for social media trends and content marketing strategies.
- Experience reliably managing paid social advertising campaigns on platforms like Meta and TikTok.
- Strong presentation skills and client relationship-building capabilities.
- Basic proficiency in video editing tools such as CapCut or Edits to handle rapid content delivery.
- Skilled copywriter, with an instinct for compelling hooks and persuasive messaging.
- Comprehensive understanding of modern marketing funnels, prioritizing strategic planning over mere content creation.
- Comfortable capturing casual content via mobile devices, complementing professional photography and videography teams.
- Able to manage multiple client projects and brand voices efficiently and independently.
- Thrives both working autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment without need for micromanagement.
Additional Advantages
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications.
- Experience working with Squarespace or Shopify platforms.
Employee Benefits
- Flexible work hours allowing autonomy to complete tasks.
- Four-day work week supporting work-life balance since 2023.
- Provision of mobile phone allowance and company laptop.
- Annual budget dedicated to professional development and skill enhancement.
- Small, expert team fostering a supportive culture.
- Creativity-focused office environment close to central New Plymouth, with food, gym, and walking paths nearby.
- Regular team lunches and occasional social events like afternoon beers.
- Daily availability of coffee and Coke Zero.
