Overview
The Site Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the execution of infrastructure and facilities projects within a complex, large-scale operational setting. The position involves overseeing site coordination, supervising contractors, and ensuring projects meet approved timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in the delivery of facilities and infrastructure initiatives.
- Coordinate on-site activities among contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Monitor contractor work to ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and plans.
- Help prepare and implement comprehensive project execution plans and necessary documentation.
- Track project progress, assessing schedule adherence, budget compliance, and quality standards.
- Support the production of daily site reports and updates on project performance.
- Identify potential risks or delays and escalate to the project management team.
- Assist in project close-out phases including inspections, testing, and formal handovers.
- Ensure all contractors comply with health, safety, and environmental policies and standards.
- Manage permits, access approvals, and operational authorizations required for executing project tasks.
- Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain clear communication and coordination among contractors, consultants, and operations personnel to facilitate smooth project implementation.
- Promote continuous improvement and document lessons learned across projects.
Qualifications
The candidate is expected to hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or Project Management.
- Possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in complex operational environments involving facilities, infrastructure, or engineering projects is essential.
- Preference will be given to those with experience in infrastructure and mixed-use developments or environments critical to operations.
