Settlement Executive

Job Overview

We are looking for a motivated and meticulous professional to join a well-established commodities trading company as a Settlement Analyst. The primary responsibility is to ensure the precise and timely settlement of both physical and financial commodity transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation, distribution, reconciliation, and settlement of invoices related to physical and financial trades.
• Ensure that pricing, due date calculations, and invoicing are consistent with contractual agreements and requirements.
• Manage accurate and prompt settlement of trades, carry out reconciliations, and resolve related discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external parties to investigate and rectify any invoicing issues.
• Prepare, examine, and validate invoices and relevant documentation to confirm compliance with trade contracts and Letter of Credit stipulations.
• Identify areas for enhancement in settlement procedures and assist with ad hoc projects or operational tasks as needed.
• Maintain strict compliance with internal controls, taxation laws, sanctions, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience in settlement within the commodities trading sector.
• Solid understanding of commodities trading workflows and settlement operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• High attention to detail and capacity to perform efficiently in a fast-moving environment.
