About the Role

The Senior Solutions Engineer at vCluster serves as the pivotal technical expert ensuring enterprise client success. This role bridges Sales and Engineering, commanding the technical strategy in intricate, multi-party engagements while helping cement vCluster's leadership in Kubernetes virtualization.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of technical direction for sizable enterprise deals, particularly in regulated sectors, collaborating with Account Executives to address compliance, security, and operational imperatives.
• Develop substantive Business Value Assessments linking vCluster capabilities to tangible results like cost reduction, risk mitigation, and improved developer efficiency.
• Integrate AI-based workflows to automate documentation, design complex multi-tenant architectures, and expedite go-to-market processes, leveraging large language models while maintaining human oversight.
• Mentor junior solutions engineers and contribute to refining qualification frameworks and proof-of-value templates to enhance team effectiveness.
• Serve as the customers' technical advocate by conveying frontline insights to product and engineering teams, influencing roadmap decisions based on real-world needs.

Required Qualifications

• At least six years in pre-sales or solutions engineering roles, demonstrating success in promoting complex infrastructure or platform solutions to enterprise buyers.
• Minimum of three years hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deep understanding of control planes, namespaces, cluster API, and virtualization versus multi-tenancy trade-offs.
• Adaptable and data-driven approach to sales, preferring consultative strategies over generic demonstrations.
• Strategically adept at anticipating market trends and identifying complex opportunities within Fortune 2000 companies.

Preferred Skills and Experiences

• Certification such as CKA or CKAD and active involvement in CNCF or open-source communities.
• Experience navigating technical challenges within regulated industries like Financial Services, Healthcare, or Public Sector.
• Comfort with leveraging automation and AI tools in sales and technical processes.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $140,000 to $180,000 USD.
