Senior Security Architecture Expert

About the Role

Join a leading consulting project supporting a major enterprise in Doha, Qatar, which is undergoing substantial cybersecurity and technology transformation efforts. We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Architecture Expert to lead security architecture evaluations, assess enterprise technology solutions, and define security requirements for upcoming business and technology initiatives. This position ensures that all new solutions incorporate security-by-design concepts and adhere to enterprise cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security architecture assessments of new enterprise technology solutions and solution design documents.
• Review architectural proposals for compliance with cybersecurity standards and security-by-design principles.
• Identify potential security risks, architectural deficiencies, and vulnerabilities during design phases.
• Recommend enhancements to reinforce the security posture of emerging technology projects.
• Define security architecture requirements for applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, and digital services.
• Suggest preventive, detective, and corrective security controls that align with organizational policies and regulatory frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with enterprise architects, solution architects, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders, participating actively in architecture reviews and design discussions.
• Offer strategic advisory support for enterprise security architecture decisions and cybersecurity governance across multiple technology projects.
• Assess security risks linked to new technologies and business initiatives at the architecture level and propose remediation methods.
• Prepare comprehensive security architecture documentation, assessment reports, and recommendations.
• Communicate findings and security requirements effectively to senior technology leadership and project teams.
• Drive continuous advancement of the organization's enterprise security architecture practices.

Candidate Profile & Experience

• A minimum of eight years' experience in cybersecurity, with at least three years focused on security architecture.
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting enterprise security architecture reviews and assessments.
• Deep understanding of security architecture frameworks and security-by-design methodologies.
• Proficient in defining security controls across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, and digital solutions.
• Strong grasp of network security, identity and access management, cloud, application, and infrastructure security.
• Experienced in architecture-level security risk analysis and mitigation.
• Excellent ability to convey complex security topics to diverse technical and business audiences.
• Superior documentation and technical writing capabilities.
• Prior engagement in large enterprises or consulting organizations is highly desirable.
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, TOGAF, or equivalents are strongly preferred.
• Availability to start immediately or on short notice is advantageous.
