Role overview
BlackCloak focuses on protecting the personal digital lives of corporate executives and other high-profile people, helping reduce exposure to hacking, privacy breaches, identity theft, and related risks to families, employers, reputation, and finances. This opening is a hands-on opportunity at a fast-growing startup for someone who enjoys building structure, driving execution, and helping important initiatives land on time.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will take ownership of planning and delivering high-priority work across the company. You will coordinate several workstreams at once, create project plans from the ground up, map out milestones, watch dependencies, and keep risks visible. Working closely with team leads and the executive group, you will help turn company priorities into organized action across departments.
The right person is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating with incomplete or changing information. This position calls for someone resourceful enough to influence others, move work forward, and lead through collaboration rather than authority.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed plans for multiple concurrent initiatives, including schedules, milestones, owners, and interdependencies.
- Coordinate daily execution across cross-functional teams so that work stays aligned and on schedule.
- Run project kickoffs, regular status meetings, and post-project reviews, then ensure decisions are turned into follow-up action.
- Spot risks, blockers, and scope changes early, raise them with context, and recommend next steps.
- Keep leadership informed with an up-to-date picture of project health across your portfolio.
- Work with team leads to allocate resources effectively and identify capacity issues before they become problems.
- Design and maintain the templates, workflows, and operating processes that make delivery repeatable and scalable.
- Turn vague initiatives into clear plans with defined outputs, ownership, and deadlines.
- Monitor progress against company priorities and share insights that help leaders make quicker, better decisions.
What you need to succeed
- 5 to 8 years of project management experience with a history of delivering complex cross-functional work on time and within scope.
- Proven ability to juggle several projects at once while maintaining quality and momentum.
- Strong familiarity with project management methods and tools, including Agile, Waterfall, or a practical blend of both.
- Experience creating project systems and operating infrastructure from the ground up.
- Excellent communication skills for sharing status, issues, and decisions with both operational teams and senior leaders.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and building structure without waiting for perfect information.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to align stakeholders across functions without direct reporting authority.
- High ownership and follow-through, with a habit of keeping commitments moving without becoming a blocker.
- PMP, CAPM, or an equivalent certification is a plus, though hands-on delivery experience is valued more.
- Background in a fast-moving, high-growth environment, ideally in cybersecurity, SaaS, or another technical field.
Compensation and benefits
BlackCloak says it offers competitive pay and strong benefits for full-time employees. The benefits package includes:
- Fully remote work across the United States.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage, with a 100% employer-paid premium option for employees and 50% employer-paid premiums for dependents.
- Health Savings Account support with company contribution for eligible medical plans.
- Flexible vacation policy.
- 10 paid company holidays.
- Employer-paid life insurance, AD&D coverage, and short- and long-term disability insurance.
- 401(k) plan with traditional and Roth options, plus employer match.
- Company equity.
- Paid parental leave and pregnancy recovery leave.
- Team and company off-sites, plus virtual events during the year.
- Home office stipend.
