Papa is a care platform based on meaningful human connections, pairing elderly individuals and families with trained companions called Papa Pals to reduce loneliness and improve health outcomes across the US. Established in 2017 and headquartered in Miami, Papa is strongly supported by notable investors and envisions a world where no one faces loneliness alone.
You will join Papa Community, a new venture based in San Francisco focused on virtual care for seniors. This initiative combines startup agility with a mature company's strengths, aiming to build scalable tools that enhance patient care and team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the platform roadmap, prioritizing clinical intelligence, automation, and operational tools.
- Collaborate closely with care teams to understand clinical workflows and translate insights into product improvements.
- Oversee system integration decisions, including evaluating API connections with EHR, care management, and billing systems.
- Ensure alignment across clinical and engineering stakeholders, driving accountability for care delivery outcomes.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Experience delivering 0-to-1 product development emphasizing operational needs over feature sets.
- Strong empathy for user behavior, especially non-technical care providers balancing patient support with efficiency.
- Ability to comprehend and translate clinical workflows without external clinical mediation.
- Proficiency in defining metrics centered on real patient outcomes and analyzing operational data to optimize product priorities.
- Understanding of how product decisions affect business metrics and care quality.
- Ability to work autonomously in dynamic environments, communicating clearly and managing outcomes.
- Adaptability to startup dynamics with an emphasis on rapid iteration and stakeholder communication.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements and their influence on product design.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience, notably in health technology.
- Proven success in building early-stage products within resource-constrained startups.
- Passion for enhancing healthcare access and outcomes for the elderly.
Preferred Experience
- Crafting roadmaps in ambiguous, early-stage settings.
- Collaborating closely with clinical teams.
- Handling healthcare API integrations and EHR systems.
- Applying AI in healthcare product development within regulated industries.
Work Arrangement
This position requires presence on-site in San Francisco, CA for 2-3 days weekly in a hybrid work model.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $159,000 to $210,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
- Significant equity opportunities.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans; HSA and FSA availability.
- 401(k) with up to 4% company matching.
- Flexible paid time off policies, including parental and caregiver leave and 11 paid holidays.
