Role Overview

The Senior Procurement Specialist role is a full-time, on-location position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Responsibilities include managing complete procurement cycles—from preparing and processing purchase orders, coordinating with internal departments to clarify purchase requirements, to ensuring punctual delivery of goods and services. The specialist evaluates current and prospective suppliers, leads contract negotiations to secure terms promoting cost savings, quality adherence, and risk management. Daily duties involve analyzing procurement metrics, tracking supplier performance, identifying optimization opportunities, and enforcing compliance with company policies and local regulations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams supports strategic sourcing and long-term procurement planning.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience in procurement including comprehensive purchasing operations, strategic sourcing, and vendor management.
• Skillful handling of purchase orders and related documentation with meticulous attention to process compliance and accuracy.
• Competency in supplier evaluation and monitoring performance based on quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Strong expertise in contract negotiations, capable of securing advantageous terms while maintaining positive supplier relations.
• Advanced analytical capabilities to interpret procurement data, derive insights, and propose cost- or efficiency-enhancing strategies.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or relevant discipline; professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding of procurement best practices, Saudi market dynamics, and applicable local regulations.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, prioritize multiple tasks, and communicate proficiently in English; Arabic language skills are an asset.
• Proficiency using ERP systems, procurement software, and advanced MS Excel and reporting tools.
