Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply innovative technologies and methods to effectively manage non-sequential work processes.
• Assist the Lead Engineer with overseeing quality control activities and initiate corrective measures as needed.
• Support the project team by preparing essential documentation such as proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules.
• Oversee process design and manage any design alterations ensuring adherence to budget and projected timelines.
• Participate in weekly process discipline meetings, generate progress reports, and comply with established checking procedures.
• Diagnose technical challenges, propose alternative solutions, evaluate advantages and disadvantages, and document recommendations through formal project channels.
• Compile comprehensive final documentation incorporating all necessary information and seek customer approval.
• Review and authorize documents and work performed by team members and assist other reviewers.
• Evaluate emerging technological advancements in relation to existing design standards, updating standards as applicable.
• Identify and assess new technological developments that could facilitate more cost-efficient facility solutions.
• Perform discipline-specific engineering services including scope change identification and reporting, contributing to studies and analyses, aiding in detailed design preparation, and supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
• Comply with quality assurance requirements and maintain personal safety following occupational health and safety guidelines and promoting awareness.

Industry Expertise

• Extensive process design experience in brownfield onshore and offshore oil & gas environments, with emphasis on rotating equipment.
• Proficient in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and detailed engineering phases.
• Experience working within multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy firms is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Mandatory accreditation from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME); candidates without this must be willing to obtain it during probation.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is advantageous or candidates actively pursuing this credential.

Technical Proficiencies

• Simulation software: Aspen Suite, HYSYS, PipeSys, FlareNet, PRO-II.
• Flow Assurance tools: PipeNet, PipeSim, PVTSim/OLGA, PipePhase, TLNET, Fathom.
