About the Role
Are you eager to drive transformative development projects that impact housing supply across Queensland? Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) is inviting experienced regulatory town planning experts to fill permanent Senior Planner positions. EDQ is pivotal in unlocking land for housing within Priority Development Areas and surplus government land through planning, development approvals, and infrastructure funding.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist statutory land use planning advice to enable development outcomes.
- Prepare professional written materials including interpretations, briefings, presentations, and reports.
- Engage collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure high-quality, timely land use planning decisions.
- Develop and implement communication and negotiation strategies for stakeholder engagement.
- Provide recommendations on strategic and complex land use and development assessments.
- Support a continuous improvement culture within the team.
- Promote collaboration among multidisciplinary teams and share expertise within communities of practice.
Experience and Skills
- Proven ability to provide insightful advice and guidance on land use challenges, legislation, and policy.
- Strong research capabilities and expertise in preparing professional reports and briefing notes.
- A customer-focused, outcome-oriented, and cooperative working style.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Qualifications & Additional Information
