Senior Material Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Material Technician to join our team at Al Sahraa Group in Abu Dhabi. This role involves overseeing the receipt, storage, and management of drilling materials, equipment, spare parts, and general materials on the ZAKUM artificial islands, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Receive purchase orders and incoming shipments of drilling materials, general materials, equipment, and spare parts for storage at ZAKUM artificial islands, verifying and organizing received items accordingly.
• Handle materials returned from operational areas by confirming correct documentation, informing the Logistic Supervisor, and determining acceptance based on departmental guidelines.
• Maintain appropriate storage conditions for materials, including temperature-controlled environments for sensitive or volatile items, with location tracking recorded in the MAXIMO system.
• Ensure excellent housekeeping and strict compliance with safety protocols, codes, and best practices within storage areas.
• Coordinate with Supply Equipment Engineers to follow up on material inspections and test certificate requirements outlined in Purchase Orders.
• Maintain daily logbooks and generate reports reflecting stock turnover and assist in conducting inventory audits.
• Process material requisitions, prepare asset movement vouchers, and manage timely issuance of materials, spares, and equipment to drilling and operations departments.
• Perform special tasks such as managing construction materials, identifying surplus inventory, organizing equipment and spares, and preparing materials for special projects.
• Safely manage the Waste Management Area by segregating, labeling, and loading scrap generated on ZAKUM artificial islands onto containers for transfer to Mussafah.
• Prepare detailed consignment notes, including scrap weight and container hazardous classification, and document waste shipments with monthly statements to UZ750-LG.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of secondary school education.
• At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within the oil industry.
• Strong technical understanding of materials management.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication.
• Familiarity with computerized material management systems, with preference for experience using Material Management System software.

Additional Information

• Rotation schedule: 60 days on / 30 days off.
• Salary: 4440 AED per rotation cycle.
• Immediate joining available.
