Senior Maintenance Executive - Electrical & Mechanical

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Executive specializing in Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance within a food manufacturing environment located in Kapurthala. The role demands ensuring seamless plant operations by implementing thorough preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies on production machinery, electrical systems, and utilities. The candidate’s efforts will focus on enhancing equipment dependability, reducing downtime, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting continual operational enhancements.

Key Duties

• Execute scheduled preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems such as motors, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs, soft starters, control panels, transformers, and more.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and maintain systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and automation controls.
• Ensure continuous functionality and reliability of electrical distribution and monitor energy usage for conservation opportunities.
• Conduct electrical inspections using thermography and condition monitoring techniques, while enforcing compliance with electrical safety and lockout-tagout procedures.
• Maintain mechanical components such as conveyors, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, packaging machinery, and material handling equipment.
• Plan and carry out preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical assets and analyze equipment failures to recommend corrective measures.
• Collaborate with production departments to schedule maintenance during planned shutdowns to minimize operational impact.
• Oversee utility-related systems maintenance including boilers, air compressors, refrigeration and HVAC equipment, ensuring utilities support uninterrupted production.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives like TPM, Kaizen, RCA, and efforts to reduce breakdown frequency.
• Maintain detailed equipment history and records within SAP or similar CMMS tools.
• Contribute to enhancement projects aimed at overall equipment effectiveness and reliability, including new equipment installations and commissioning.
• Adhere to food safety standards (GMP, HACCP), environmental health and safety regulations, and participate in risk assessments and safety audits.
• Follow stringent safe work practices including permit-to-work systems and fulfill statutory maintenance obligations.

Eligibility and Educational Requirements

Candidates must hold a regular engineering degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks across all qualifications.

Compensation

The annual salary offered can be up to INR 12,50,000.
