About the Role
Wells Fargo invites applications for the position of Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer based in Hyderabad, India. This pivotal role involves advising senior leadership on platform support solutions addressing complex business and technical challenges. You will lead major initiatives influencing large-scale planning for systems operations, encompassing computer and network infrastructure, delivering impactful and innovative solutions aligned with strategic enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key consultant to senior leadership ensuring technical solutions meet complex and broad business needs.
- Lead and manage high-impact projects requiring advanced analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Translate organizational strategies and technological environments into sound engineering solutions.
- Offer direction and innovative insights that contribute to significant business advancements.
- Stay current with best industry practices and recommend enhancements to improve operational efficiency and competitive edge.
- Engage strategically with professionals at all organizational levels, providing expert guidance.
- Mentor junior team members and drive adherence to technical standards and deliverables.
- Ensure system health monitoring, optimize batch processing and application performance.
- Manage incident resolution, root cause analysis, and enforce service level agreements with minimal downtime.
- Support system updates including changes, patching, deployments, and releases.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of experience in Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture demonstrated through practical work, education, or equivalent training.
- Proficiency with Unix operating systems, Oracle databases, and production support guided by ITIL frameworks.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Geneos, Grafana, Splunk, and AppDynamics.
- Hands-on familiarity with automation using shell, Perl, Python scripting, and artificial intelligence-based tools.
- Working knowledge of Autosys, Cron, Websphere, Apache, Tomcat, Kafka, MQ messaging systems, Ansible, and AIX environment.
- Expertise in L3 support operations, troubleshooting, database and middleware technologies.
- Experience in financial services or payment system environments is preferred.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and deployment processes.
Additional Information
- Proficient in monitoring application health and performing capacity planning and performance tuning.
- Participate in post-incident reviews to drive continuous operational improvements.
