Senior Java Engineer

Role overview

We are hiring a Senior Java Engineer to contribute to a Capital Markets analytics platform for a global engineering and technology organization. The position is based in Noida, India and centers on building modern backend services, scalable data solutions, and reporting capabilities for financial analytics use cases. The work combines server-side development with data-layer and visualization integration, using technologies such as Apache Iceberg and Amazon QuickSight.

What you will do

• Design and build reliable Java backend services for analytics-focused applications.
• Create and improve data pipelines and storage layers using Apache Iceberg.
• Handle large financial datasets with attention to speed, scale, and stability.
• Support reporting and business insight delivery through Amazon QuickSight integration.
• Develop APIs that serve both real-time and batch analytics processes.
• Partner with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Take part in architecture discussions, system design choices, and engineering standards.

Technical and professional requirements

• 7–10+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including Java 8 and newer versions.
• Strong practical knowledge of Spring and Spring Boot for enterprise application development.
• Proven ability to design RESTful APIs and microservices-based systems.
• Comfort with Docker-based containerization; Kubernetes knowledge is an advantage.
• Experience with distributed systems, multithreading, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on exposure to data lake technologies, with Apache Iceberg preferred.
• Strong SQL skills, plus experience in data modeling and large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem, including S3, Athena, Glue, QuickSight, IAM, and similar services.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, or comparable data processing frameworks.
• Understanding of microservices and cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Knowledge of financial instruments and analytics workflows.
• Exposure to capital markets systems such as trading, risk, or analytics platforms.
• Working knowledge of software engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and version control.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT, and familiarity with AI-driven development workflows is preferred.
