About the Role and Organization
A unique position has opened for a Band 6 Senior HR Advisor at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, located centrally in London. As the UK's oldest hospital, St Bartholomew’s hosts renowned facilities including the largest specialist cardiac center, Barts Heart Centre, and the leading St Barts Cancer Centre.
The hospital is recognized for excellence and innovation. The Care Quality Commission recently rated its supportive leadership as Outstanding and all services as Good, emphasizing strong medical and nursing leadership alongside a positive, collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing expert, customer-oriented HR guidance, coaching, and solutions to designated directorates and services within Barts Health.
- Ensuring the local application and adherence to corporate Trust People policies and procedures within operational frameworks.
- Collaborating with managers to cultivate and deliver an effective employee relations service, integral to the broader People Strategy promoting a learning-centered culture.
- Managing and coordinating employee relations casework, ensuring consistent, effective, and efficient handling aligned with Barts Health policies, procedures, legislation, and best practices.
Work Environment
As part of the business partnering function, you will engage closely with various departments, including cancer, cardiac, respiratory, fertility, and endocrine services. Supporting HR Business Partners, you will act as the initial contact for manager and staff inquiries, providing confident advice grounded in policy and case law.
Professional Growth and Support
You will be entrusted with specific projects designed to enhance your skills within the advisory realm, supported by relevant training to foster your professional development. This role reports to the HR Manager and receives matrix leadership from People Partners for Corporate Services.
