Overview
INFRAROSE is seeking a seasoned Senior Facility Manager to oversee the comprehensive management and maintenance of all project site facilities in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The goal is to guarantee a safe, efficient, and productive environment for staff, visitors, and project teams by managing accommodation, catering, utilities, maintenance, administration, security, and workplace services. This role also includes direct oversight of the site IT function to ensure robust IT infrastructure and reliable system availability supporting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all aspects of facilities management including offices, accommodation, common areas, welfare facilities, and supportive infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain facility management policies, standards, and operational procedures to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure seamless daily site operations and maintenance of service contracts.
- Manage employee accommodations, overseeing room allocations, maintenance, housekeeping, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure comfortable living conditions for local and expatriate personnel.
- Supervise utilities such as electricity, water, generators, HVAC, and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance with engineering teams.
- Oversee site IT operations including leadership of IT staff, infrastructure reliability, incident management, upgrades, and coordination with corporate IT policies and cybersecurity requirements.
- Maintain strong vendor and contractor relationships, including performance monitoring and cost-effective procurement practices.
- Support administrative tasks and employee services including coordination with HR, logistics, fleet, travel, and security functions to enhance employee welfare and onboarding experiences.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, participate in audits, and maintain emergency preparedness plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, IT, or comparable field.
- At least 10 years of experience in facility management, site operations, or workplace management roles, preferably in large-scale construction, EPC/EPCM, mining, infrastructure, aviation, or industrial settings.
- Demonstrated ability managing remote or site-based operations with diverse teams.
- Experience managing IT operations or coordinating IT professionals is highly advantageous.
- Proven expertise in contractor and vendor management.
- Experience working in challenging operational environments such as Africa is beneficial.
