Role Overview

The Senior Compliance Officer position is a part-time role located in Abu Dhabi, offering a hybrid work arrangement with the option to perform some duties remotely. This role is responsible for managing compliance frameworks specifically related to intellectual property rights services. The officer ensures that all internal policies and external regulatory requirements are adhered to consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor ongoing regulatory changes impacting intellectual property compliance.
• Review and update compliance procedures to align with current standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and evaluate potential compliance risks.
• Provide guidance to teams regarding regulatory responsibilities within the intellectual property rights sector.
• Collaborate with management and legal advisors to assess client engagements, support audit processes, and prepare detailed compliance reports highlighting status and improvement opportunities.
• Lead training initiatives to educate staff on compliance best practices.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of internal controls promoting ethical and efficient organizational operations.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Strong expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance, preferably within legal services or intellectual property sectors.
• Solid analytical capabilities and financial knowledge to evaluate risks and interpret compliance data.
• Excellent communication skills capable of articulating complex regulatory requirements to diverse stakeholders.
• Prior experience in intellectual property, legal advisory, or professional services compliance is advantageous.
• Advanced degree or certifications in law, business administration, compliance, or related disciplines preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously in a hybrid work environment, manage multiple priorities, and uphold high ethical standards.
