Senior Business Analyst

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our team based in Riyadh. This role serves as the vital intermediary among Saudi Arabian clients, product owners, and remote engineering teams. The successful candidate will be adept at translating complex business objectives into clear technical requirements. Fluency in Arabic, with a deep understanding of the Saudi market context, is essential, along with comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and a professional, detail-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading discovery sessions with stakeholders to gather, question, and refine business needs into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Creating precise, developer-focused documentation, including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), and detailed User Stories featuring well-defined Acceptance Criteria, preferably in Gherkin format.
• Designing logical system and process models using BPMN 2.0, flowcharts, state diagrams, sequence diagrams, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and integration mappings.
• Managing the product backlog in tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps, ensuring proper prioritization, estimation, and readiness of backlog items.
• Partnering with quality assurance teams to align test cases with business rules and guiding User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes with clients.
• Ensuring all system functionalities and workflows are appropriately localized and culturally tailored to meet the needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia market.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Over six years of demonstrated experience in Business Systems Analysis, particularly within mobile and web product development sectors.
• Strong command of business analysis techniques, stakeholder engagement, and requirement elicitation.
• Practical proficiency with backlog management and collaboration platforms like Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and tools such as MS Visio.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Scrum agile methodologies.
• Work knowledge of databases and SQL querying capabilities.
• Experience with business intelligence visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau to facilitate data-driven decisions.
• Familiarity with Pega platform is advantageous.
• Native proficiency in Arabic coupled with excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Insight into the digital transformation initiatives and regulatory frameworks within Saudi Arabia is highly valued.
• Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, able to assess challenges and craft effective technical solutions.
• Experience in managing multiple projects and cross-functional teamwork in dynamic environments.
• Attention to detail and dedication to timely delivery under fast-paced conditions.
