About the Role

The Senior Analyst position at DAMAC Digital focuses on leading comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and management for data center projects and operations. This pivotal role involves ensuring precise financial reporting, overseeing cost controls, evaluating investments, and underpinning strategic decision-making processes for significant infrastructure and digital initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial plans tailored for data center projects.
• Create financial models to evaluate new capital-intensive data center investments.
• Analyze income sources such as colocation services, cloud offerings, and leasing arrangements.
• Track financial results against budgets, pinpointing discrepancies and providing actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to oversee project costs, deadlines, and return on investment.
• Ensure accurate allocation of expenses across construction, infrastructure, and operational segments.
• Assess project viability using metrics like IRR, NPV, and payback period for upcoming developments.
• Offer financial perspectives on procurement and contract analyses.
• Supervise operational expenditures including energy use, maintenance, staffing, and vendor agreements.
• Identify cost-reduction strategies that maintain performance standards and uptime.
• Implement robust financial controls and governance frameworks within all aspects of data center operations.
• Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports for senior leadership.
• Develop performance dashboards and KPIs, such as cost per megawatt, equipment utilization rates, and EBITDA margins.
• Communicate financial analyses and insights to executives supporting strategic initiatives.
• Engage with auditors, investors, and external partners as needed.
• Support strategic expansions, mergers, acquisitions, and related market analyses.
• Assist with pricing strategies for data center service offerings.
• Collaborate with ERP platforms (Oracle Fusion, SAP) and project management tools (PMWeb) to enhance financial processes.
• Promote automation and improve data accuracy in financial reporting.
• Lead digital transformation efforts within finance operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
• MBA or relevant professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or CPA are advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years’ finance experience with significant exposure to data center environments.
• Expertise in financial modeling and investment assessment.
• Essential practical experience with capital expenditure-heavy projects.
• Proficient with advanced financial modeling tools (Excel, with Power BI as preferred).
• Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle and SAP.
• Comprehensive understanding of capital vs operational expenditures, and key financial metrics including ROI, IRR, and NPV.
• Knowledge of cost allocation and project accounting methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills and strategic mindset with attention to detail.
• Capable of collaborating across departments including engineering, procurement, and operations.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
