About the Role
G4S Secure Solutions Ireland is seeking dedicated Security Officers to join their team at Shilelagh, County Wicklow. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits, providing an opportunity to work for a globally recognized security firm focused on client safety and asset protection.
Compensation and Schedule
- Basic pay of €15.41 per hour.
- Additional compensation includes a Sunday premium of €3.44 per hour, €20 for each unsociable hours shift worked, overtime paid at one and a half times after 96 hours per fortnight, and double pay for working on bank holidays, following the ERO order.
- Work hours total 24 per week, specifically Wednesday and Thursday from 8pm to 8am.
- Own transportation is essential; applications from residents of Dublin are not accepted.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security patrols to safeguard the premises, personnel, and visitors.
- Monitor CCTV and manage access control systems to identify and respond to potential risks.
- Respond calmly and professionally to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
- Deliver excellent customer service whilst remaining vigilant and security-focused.
- Log incidents and suspicious activities promptly and accurately.
- Coordinate with emergency services when necessary to resolve incidents effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum three years' experience in corporate security within Ireland.
- Valid PSA Security Guarding License is mandatory; Security Guarding Monitoring License is preferred.
- Must pass screening and vetting, including verification of five years of employment and personal activity.
- Fluency in English at a minimum C1 level in both oral and written communication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to stay composed under pressure.
- Attention to detail, proactive approach, professional appearance, and dedication to delivering excellent security services.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, public holidays.
