About the Role
Join the team at NEXGEN Business Consultants (now integrated with Cofinpro) as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer, where you'll be responsible for driving agile methodologies within diverse projects at top financial institutions across Germany. You'll play a critical role in fostering agile principles, optimizing team processes, and facilitating effective collaboration. This position is based in Frankfurt with a 50% remote work option.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor team members—such as Product Owners, Developers, Business Designers, and UX Designers—on agile methods
- Promote and embed agile values and practices project-wide
- Design, implement, and oversee team and cross-team agile processes
- Advance team workflows as per clients' strategic roadmaps, including leveraging modern digital and AI-driven practices
- Organize and facilitate essential team meetings, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Identify, resolve, and mitigate impediments, conflicts, and risks
- Advise clients on strategic, professional, and agile-related topics
Requirements
- At least three years of professional experience as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer supporting agile transformation in software development
- Deep understanding of methodologies for complex IT projects
- Proficiency in Scrum, plus mastery of frameworks such as Kanban or SAFe; ideally, capable of integrating digital and AI-supported approaches into agile teams
- Desirable: certifications in Scrum Master, SAFe, Nexus, or relevant project management methodologies, and a background in software engineering
- Preferably prior exposure to the financial services sector
- Completed university degree in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering or equivalent
- Fluency in German (minimum C1 level) and good command of English
