Scrum Master Business Analyst

Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Scrum Master and Business Analyst with over seven years of experience in Agile project execution, business analysis, and stakeholder interaction. This role is instrumental in aligning business requirements with technological solutions, while ensuring adherence to Agile practices to achieve superior product delivery. Strong analytical capabilities, communication expertise, and the ability to enable collaboration across diverse teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives to facilitate Agile processes.
• Coach Agile teams on Scrum frameworks and continuous improvement practices to enhance effectiveness.
• Identify obstacles hindering team productivity and work towards their removal.
• Track sprint progress and ensure the timely accomplishment of project goals and milestones.
• Promote collaboration amongst Product Owners, developers, QA, and stakeholders for smooth project flow.
• Monitor Agile metrics including velocity, burndown charts, and sprint outcomes to gauge performance.
• Foster an environment encouraging accountability, openness, and continuous improvement culture.
• Assist with organization-wide Agile transformation initiatives.
• Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document detailed business requirements.
• Conduct workshops and interviews to gather requirements and streamline processes effectively.
• Develop comprehensive documents such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
• Evaluate current business processes and suggest enhancements to improve efficiency.
• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate that solutions meet business needs.
• Ensure clear communication of business requirements to technical teams and assist with change management and adoption strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Profound understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
• Practical experience in Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
• Expertise in capturing requirements, business process mapping, and analytical methods.
• Strong knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile software development practices.
• Excellent communication abilities and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Competence in backlog management and user story formulation.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with capability to lead cross-functional workshops and meetings.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively in fast-moving environments.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines like Computer Science, IT, or Business Administration preferred.
• Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master, or business analysis certifications like CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA considered an advantage.
• Familiarity with Agile or digital transformation projects and an understanding of SQL, API integrations, and data analysis are beneficial.

Experience and Competencies

• Minimum of 7 years in roles encompassing Scrum Master, Business Analyst, or a combined hybrid capacity.
• Proven track record in executing Agile projects with cross-functional teams.
• Experience dealing with enterprise-level applications, cloud technologies, or digital transformation projects is desirable.
• Core competencies include Agile leadership, business analysis, Scrum facilitation, stakeholder management, requirement elicitation, user story mapping, risk and issue management, communication, presentation skills, problem-solving, team collaboration, continuous improvement, and change management.
