Scrum Master

Overview

Artemis ARC is seeking a Lean Agile Scrum Master to join the team supporting the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) ORIS initiative. This role is focused on Enterprise Health Records Management projects, providing critical Agile program and project management support for high visibility and priority efforts within the EIWMP Team.

Responsibilities

• Interact effectively with senior-level stakeholders across multiple initiatives to meet client expectations.
• Manage several concurrent tasks efficiently in a fast-moving and high-profile environment.
• Lead project teams to develop delivery schedules, monitor progress toward targets, update program and project plans, prepare status updates, and facilitate planning and reporting sessions.
• Establish and maintain lean, Agile-aligned processes for program planning and resource management using Jira.
• Organize and lead Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Monitor team capacity and redeploy resources rapidly during surge demands.
• Coordinate dependencies among triage, workflow, training, and change management activities.
• Support Program Increment (PI) Planning and Inspect & Adapt workshops to prioritize government requirements effectively.
• Maintain team focus and productivity amidst rapid-response challenges.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree coupled with over five years of relevant work experience.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification is mandatory.
• Proven track record of facilitating Agile teams in a delivery-focused setting.
• Experience with SAFe, Lean Portfolio management, or equivalent Agile frameworks (e.g., SSM).
• Background in VA or healthcare IT projects, especially familiarity with Federated EHR or Oracle/Cerner systems.
• Exceptional servant-leadership qualities along with strong skills in removing impediments to progress.
