SAP APO/PP/PPDS Consultant

Overview

Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. is seeking a seasoned SAP APO/PP/PPDS Consultant with expertise in supply chain management modules to join their team in Hyderabad, India.

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and understand business and functional requirements from various stakeholders and users.
• Convert these business needs into technical SAP solutions mainly within Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO), Production Planning (PP), and support for Supply Chain Management (SCM) Staging processes.
• Provide effective troubleshooting and solutions by assessing whether standard SAP features satisfy the requirements or if customizations are necessary.
• Ensure demand transmission accurately follows the supply chain flow including lead time considerations, and manage deployment of new processes.
• Manage and direct work efforts of external consultants and junior SAP developers on the team.
• Utilize a hybrid methodology blending modified waterfall and agile practices for project execution.

Skills and Expertise Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a SAP Supply Chain Management domain expert.
• Strong expertise in Allocation, Backorder Processing (BOP), Rule Maintenance within Global Available-to-Promise (GATP), and Capable-to-Match (CTM) in Supply Network Planning (SNP).
• Experience implementing CIF interfaces for Master and Transactional Data between SAP ECC and APO systems.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP APO Demand Planning (DP) configuration including setting up Master Planning Object Structures, generating and modifying Characteristic Value Combinations (CVC), data realignment processes, and designing Planning Books and Areas.
• Proficient in statistical forecasting, configuring and managing batch and planning jobs, background mass processing, time bucket and forecast profiles, planning versions, life cycle management, like modelling, macros, alerts, and process chains.
