About the Role

Join a vibrant and energetic team as a Sanitation Associate responsible for upholding cleanliness standards throughout the facility. Reporting directly to the Sanitation Supervisor, you will help ensure a safe and hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Break down cardboard materials and load them into compactors.
  • Maintain cleanliness of production floors by removing debris regularly.
  • Sweep and mop floors as necessary to uphold hygiene standards.
  • Dispose of waste produced by production lines safely and efficiently.
  • Use approved cleaning agents to sanitize surfaces thoroughly.
  • Refill soap dispensers and replace hand towels in restrooms and lunchrooms.
  • Complete daily sanitation paperwork in compliance with FSQA guidelines.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks across all facility areas.
  • Adhere to Occupational Health & Safety regulations during all tasks.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment and report workplace hazards to supervisors.
  • Carry out other assigned duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent credential.
  • At least 6 months to 1 year experience in food processing, manufacturing, or service sectors.
  • Capability to stand for long durations and engage in frequent bending, twisting, and walking.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks calmly and remain alert in fast-paced, deadline-driven settings.
  • Willingness and capacity to work in environments that may vary from warm and humid to cold.
  • Physical ability to push, pull, and lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Competency to work both independently and collaboratively within a team; strong interpersonal skills required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Sanitation or janitorial experience of 1 year is a valuable asset.
