The platform empowers Campus Life administrators and student organizations by facilitating better access to funding, enhancing student involvement, and boosting retention from enrollment through graduation. Its modular design allows institutions to streamline administrative tasks while focusing on driving student engagement.
Position Overview
We are growing our operations in the United States and seek a dynamic, personable individual to represent Rubric at higher education conferences and industry gatherings nationwide. This role primarily involves generating qualified sales leads, fostering relationships, and arranging meetings for the US sales team. Collaboration with the US Sales Director will be essential to advance opportunities through the sales process.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent Rubric at US higher education conferences and related networking events, including some international travel.
- Engage event attendees actively to identify potential prospects and develop qualified sales opportunities.
- Arrange discovery calls, demos, and follow-up meetings for the US Sales Lead.
- Build lasting relationships with university administrators, student affairs professionals, and student organization leaders.
- Effectively present Rubric's platform, core features, and value proposition.
- Conduct thorough pre-event research on attendees and institutions to optimize engagement outcomes.
- Document detailed follow-up information such as contact details, interests, and next steps after interactions.
- Collaborate closely with the US Sales Lead to prioritize and advance sales pipeline activities.
- Ensure accurate and prompt CRM updates of prospects and follow-up actions.
- Provide feedback on market trends, competitor insights, and customer needs gathered from conferences.
- Maintain a professional and enthusiastic presence at all industry events representing Rubric.
- Work in tandem with global sales and leadership teams across four countries.
Qualifications
- Experience in sales, business development, partnership building, or event management.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Confident in initiating conversations in bustling conference settings.
- Quick to grasp customer requirements and articulate value clearly.
- Highly organized, proactive, and self-directed in a remote work environment.
- Excellent follow-up and detail orientation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a Sales Lead managing the broader sales funnel.
- Familiar with CRM usage and sales pipeline methodologies.
- Knowledge or experience in higher education, student affairs, student organizations, or edtech is a plus.
- Willing and able to travel frequently within the US, including some evenings and weekends for event attendance.
