Job description
Overview
This position as a Sales Incentive Strategy Manager is situated within Google Cloud's Go-to-Market (GTM) team. The role involves shaping the go-to-market strategy by designing sales compensation plans, setting quotas, and managing coverage to influence the direction of the organisation worldwide.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compelling sales incentive compensation schemes spanning field sales, specialty sales, customer engineering, partners, and other key GTM roles.
- Work in close partnership with leaders from GTM, Finance, People Operations, and Sales teams to convert corporate priorities into effective compensation frameworks.
- Establish clear performance benchmarks, accelerators, thresholds, and payout structures that motivate outstanding sales achievements.
- Evaluate sales plan outcomes and salesperson activities through sophisticated data analysis to confirm compensation initiatives are achieving targeted business goals.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and People Operations to maintain compliance and respect financial constraints in compensation plan designs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least six years of experience designing, modeling, and managing incentive compensation plans, ideally within cloud computing sectors or rapidly growing technology firms.
- Skilled in addressing challenges using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

- Proven ability to interpret complex business environments, foresee effects on downstream processes, and apply remuneration policies with consistency and fairness.
- Capable of strategic thought coupled with detailed execution, demonstrating meticulous attention to figures.

- Exhibits senior-level professional presence characterized by responsiveness, ethical judgment, and effective prioritization under competing demands.
- Commitment to deeply understanding the sales teams’ and leadership’s requirements across all organizational levels.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation is influenced by skills, experience, and pertinent education or training. Salary ranges and bonus targets based on location are as follows:
- Ireland: €118,000 to €121,000 annually plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
- Poland: zł340,000 to zł349,000 annually plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
Additional Information
Candidates will have the option to select their preferred working location from Warsaw, Poland, or Dublin, Ireland.
