Role overview
This opportunity is shared on behalf of a partner employer, which will handle applications and the next stages of the process. The hiring company is seeking a Sales Development Representative based in Canada.
This role is suited to an early-career sales professional who wants to grow in a fast-moving fintech setting focused on modernizing global B2B payments. You will help expand the sales pipeline by finding, engaging, and qualifying potential business customers. The environment is energetic and collaborative, with room to test new ideas, improve processes, and work with modern sales technology. You will partner with Account Executives, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to create measurable revenue impact while building your career in fintech sales.
Key responsibilities
- Find and contact prospective B2B customers through outbound channels such as email, phone, LinkedIn, and digital outreach.
- Review incoming and outgoing leads, qualify them, and arrange meetings for Account Executives.
- Keep HubSpot records current and accurate, including sales activity and pipeline information.
- Study target companies, industries, and decision-makers in fintech, payments, and closely related sectors.
- Create and maintain outbound sequences, cadences, and structured follow-up plans.
- Work with marketing and sales colleagues to strengthen outreach messaging and performance.
- Meet activity, outreach, and pipeline creation goals on a consistent basis.
- Stay updated on fintech developments, payment solutions, and market trends.
- Share ideas that can improve sales workflows and prospect engagement.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in Sales Development, Business Development, or inside sales.
- Background in a B2B sales environment.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills with a persuasive, professional style.
- Good organizational ability, time management, and dependable follow-through.
- Practical familiarity with CRM platforms such as HubSpot.
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and lead qualification.
- Able to learn quickly and adapt in a high-growth, results-focused environment.
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking technology, or financial services is a strong plus.
- Exposure to AI tools, automation, or AI-supported sales workflows is an added advantage.
- Startup or SaaS experience will be considered beneficial.
