Role Overview

As a Sales Associate at our Berlin store, you will contribute to our mission of preserving the environment by delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting community engagement efforts. You will serve as a brand ambassador both inside and outside the store, helping to foster local environmental activism through donations, volunteering, advocacy, and events.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers warmly, ensuring their needs are understood and fulfilled to provide a positive shopping experience.
• Address individual customer requirements creatively and respectfully, delivering personalized support.
• Leverage your knowledge of outdoor sports and our products to engage customers and advocate for grassroots environmental causes.
• Collaborate with team members in managing customer service, merchandise presentation, store operations, events, and environmental initiatives.
• Handle daily operational tasks such as stock replenishment, cash register operation, opening and closing procedures, and merchandising duties including folding, hanging, steaming, and stocking products.

Candidate Profile

• Genuine enthusiasm for outdoor activities and passion for environmental conservation.
• Prior experience in customer service roles within a team-focused work environment.
• Eagerness to learn about Patagonia's products, values, history, and environmental commitments.
• Ability to manage uncertainties, think creatively to resolve problems, and demonstrate sound judgment.
• Accuracy and reliability in handling cash and using the register.
• Fluency in both English and German languages is required.
• Retail or outdoor industry experience is advantageous.
• Participation in core outdoor sports such as climbing, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, fly fishing, mountain biking, or trail running is a plus.

• This is a fixed-term part-time role based at our Berlin location with 24 working hours per week.
