Restaurant Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Restaurant Supervisor to join the team at Slieve Russell Hotel Golf & Country Club. This full-time position is based in Ballyconnell, County Cavan, Ireland. The role reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and involves overseeing daily restaurant activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing the restaurant's professional and profitable operations.
• Warmly welcome guests and customers, ensuring a polite and inviting atmosphere.
• Open and close the restaurant according to operational procedures.
• Supervise, organize, and delegate tasks among all restaurant staff members.
• Complete checklists to confirm all responsibilities are adequately fulfilled.
• Ensure the restaurant is properly staffed at all times, adjusting schedules as needed.
• Provide continuous training and development opportunities for team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper table settings in compliance with standards.
• Collaborate closely with the kitchen team to uphold service and food quality standards.
• Keep well-informed about all restaurant products and general hotel facilities including operating hours.
• Attend mandatory training sessions as notified by management.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Proven experience working in a busy restaurant environment; hotel experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Highly professional appearance and excellent communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation and a constructive, positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently while understanding hotel operational procedures.
• Good command of the English language.
• Flexibility to work midweek and weekend shifts as needed.
