Role overview
This is a permanent restaurant management position based in Squamish, British Columbia. The role is carried out in English and involves overseeing daily restaurant operations in an urban setting with a managed budget between $500,001 and $1,500,000.
Working hours and schedule
The position requires 30 to 40 hours of work each week. Shifts may include mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
Key duties
- Review day-to-day operations and keep the business running efficiently.
- Track revenue to help estimate labour costs.
- Monitor staff performance and carry out regular performance reviews.
- Organize and coordinate daily operational activities.
- Hire new team members and train staff.
- Decide which services will be provided and establish operating procedures.
- Handle cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports, and supporting documents.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory.
- Ensure health and safety standards are followed.
- Work with suppliers to arrange food and other product deliveries.
- Discuss catering arrangements or facility use with customers.
- Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans.
- Resolve customer complaints and address guest concerns.
Team leadership
The role includes supervising a team of 3 to 4 people.
Qualifications and working conditions
A secondary school diploma or equivalent is required. The preferred experience level is from 1 year to less than 2 years. The workplace is fast-paced and involves repetitive tasks.
Certifications and travel
A Serving It Right certificate is required. Public transportation is available for commuting.
