Junior Data Analyst

Job Summary

Matricstek Inc. is looking for an early-career Data Analyst who is comfortable working with data in a careful, structured way. In this position, you will gather information, clean it, study it, and turn it into insights that help guide business decisions. This opportunity is well suited to fresh graduates or applicants who want to start a career in analytics and reporting.

What You’ll Do

• Gather data from different sources, prepare it for analysis, and perform basic to intermediate analysis
• Build reports, dashboards, and visual summaries for leadership and business teams
• Spot useful trends, patterns, and insights in large data sets
• Share data-backed suggestions that help teams make better decisions
• Keep records accurate and maintain strong data quality practices
• Develop and refresh Excel-based reports, SQL queries, and dashboard views
• Help streamline reporting tasks by improving or automating repetitive workflows
• Coordinate with teams across functions to clarify reporting needs
• Explain findings clearly and professionally to stakeholders

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a similar discipline
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Working understanding of SQL and databases
• Solid Microsoft Excel skills
• Good verbal and written communication, along with presentation skills
• Careful attention to detail and comfort handling large volumes of data
• Ability to work well on your own as well as with others

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or comparable visualization platforms
• Basic familiarity with Python or R for data-related work
• Understanding of how to clean, reshape, and transform data
• Internship, coursework, or academic project experience in analytics
