Role Overview

We are seeking a US-based remote Genetic Counselor to support Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) practices and our Results Delivery Program. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive virtual prenatal genetic counseling to a diverse patient group and contribute to results reporting for various clients.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM local time zone.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver virtual prenatal genetic counseling services to a diverse patient population associated with MFM practices.
• Support the results reporting program by communicating genetic test results innovatively to patients across multiple clients.
• Provide direct patient care for a broad range of complex cases referred from an extensive base.
• Engage in professional development activities including writing abstracts, contributing to publications, conducting physician education, and participating in projects.
• Collaborate with a nationwide team of medical geneticists, biochemical and molecular geneticists, and over 100 counseling professionals.
• Contribute to educational and research initiatives within Labcorp.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling.
• Certification by the American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or active candidacy status.
• At least 2 years of genetic counseling experience post-graduation.
• Multi-state licensure as a Genetic Counselor or eligibility to obtain it.

Preferred Experience

• Two or more years of prenatal or reproductive genetic counseling experience following the Master's degree.

• Ability to multitask effectively with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary range: $88,000 to $120,000, commensurate with skills, experience, and academic qualifications.
