Remote Assistant Controller

Role Overview

The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing daily accounting functions, ensuring financial reports adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting personnel and oversee their work activities.
• Review and verify accounting entries for accuracy.
• Lead initiatives to improve processes, enhancing operational efficiency and precision.
• Interpret complex technical accounting matters.
• Support implementation of financial systems and tools.
• Manage core processes such as month-end close, cash control, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of relevant experience in banking accounting.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Strong command over Microsoft Excel and accounting software including Oracle ERP and Fusion GL.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Previous management experience is required.
