About the Role
Are you seeking a nursing position that allows you to fully utilize your skills while making a positive impact daily? Oceania invites compassionate, skilled Registered Nurses to join numerous teams across Hawke's Bay. Rather than applying for a single opening, you will be considered for multiple current and forthcoming roles across our regional villages, with options for full-time, part-time, or casual employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and organize the clinical care of residents on a daily basis.
- Conduct thorough nursing evaluations and enforce tailored care plans.
- Exercise sound clinical judgment and adapt confidently to residents’ changing needs.
- Establish strong connections with residents, their families, and allied health professionals.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to Healthcare Assistants and the broader care team.
- Maintain precise clinical records and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment conducive to resident wellbeing.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of an active New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
- Official registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.
- Prior nursing experience, preferably in aged care or related clinical settings.
- Familiarity with electronic clinical documentation tools.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A cooperative mindset combined with a sincere dedication to elder care.
- Willingness to work varied rostered shifts, including weekends and nights as necessary.
- Experience with InterRAI assessments is a plus but not mandatory.
