Overview

As a Refinish Technician, you play a critical role in delivering an outstanding customer experience by carefully refinishing vehicles to restore them to their pre-accident condition. Your expertise in color matching and refinishing contributes significantly to Gerber's standards of speed, quality, and customer satisfaction. Safety is paramount, and we provide Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) systems to ensure both safety and comfort during work.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect bodywork quality and completeness upon arrival at the paint department
- Expertly mix and match colors and refinish vehicles to original condition
- Execute all refinishing tasks as specified in the work orders
- Efficiently manage and maintain paint material stock
- Use all mandated safety gear consistently and handle hazardous waste disposal appropriately
- Participate actively in daily production meetings and collaborate within the team
- Adhere to production timelines and cooperate with colleagues to meet deadlines
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Between two to five or more years of experience in collision repair
- Proficient in completing comprehensive refinishing processes
- High attention to quality standards
- Strong capability to maintain a high production rate
- Holding I-CAR or ASE certifications is advantageous

Compensation Details
The role offers a flat rate hourly wage ranging from $20 to $29 based on performance and booked hours. If compensation falls below the applicable minimum wage during any period, the wage will be adjusted to meet or exceed legal minimums. Remuneration will consider individual skills, education, and experience, with opportunities for bonuses linked to personal and company performance.
