Job Purpose
This role supports the Quality team in ensuring all products and manufacturing processes consistently meet company quality benchmarks, as well as food safety and regulatory directives such as ISO 22000 and SFDA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods following established protocols.
- Perform routine inspections before and during production line operations.
- Oversee production activities to verify compliance with quality standards, food safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and workplace safety regulations.
- Execute routine quality assessments and maintain precise records of inspections.
- Identify and separate any products or materials that are non-conforming; promptly communicate quality issues to relevant teams.
- Ensure adherence to HACCP, company policies, and SFDA requirements throughout operations.
- Assist with internal quality audits, product traceability exercises, investigatory processes, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
- Confirm that all measurement and inspection tools are clean, fully operational, and calibrated as needed.
- Comply rigorously with company policies on health, safety, hygiene, and food safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related disciplines.
- Up to two years of experience in Quality Control within a food manufacturing setting.
Required Skills
- Fundamental understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety principles, and SFDA regulations.
- Strong attention to detail paired with solid analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to ensure precise documentation and teamwork.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
