Quality Control Engineer - Aluminium Production

Role Overview

White Aluminium Enterprises LLC – Fabrication Division is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Engineer to join the production team based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The professional will ensure that all façade components, including aluminium, glazing, and cladding systems, adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and qualitative benchmarks. This position involves supervising production processes, carrying out meticulous inspections, and enforcing quality control protocols to achieve compliance and reduce defects.

Key Duties

• Perform thorough inspections at various stages: incoming materials, during processing, and final product checks for façade components.
• Ensure manufacturing aligns strictly with shop drawings, specifications, and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
• Oversee the fabrication processes of aluminium frames, curtain wall systems, cladding panels, and glazing.
• Identify any deviations or non-conformance reports (NCRs) and initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate closely with production, design, and site teams to address quality concerns promptly.
• Validate the dimensions, tolerances, and assembly quality of façade elements.
• Manage proper handling, storage, and protection of materials to prevent any damage.
• Compile and maintain quality control reports, inspection documentation, and related records.
• Ensure alignment with relevant industry standards such as ASTM, BS, EN, along with specific project specifications.
• Supervise and confirm testing protocols such as water tightness and air infiltration of façade systems where applicable.
• Monitor and ensure calibration of inspection and measuring tools and equipment.
• Support both internal and external quality audits and client inspections effectively.

Qualifications and Expertise Required

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Quality Control certification or ISO 9001 accreditation is considered advantageous.
• Comprehensive knowledge of façade systems including curtain walls, aluminium structures, glazing, and cladding.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience with QC methodologies, inspection techniques, and testing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail combined with sound analytical capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
• Capability to solve problems and generate comprehensive reports.
• Minimum of 3 to 6 years experience in façade production or quality control environments, preferably within aluminium fabrication or façade manufacturing.
