Role Overview
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Regulatory Reporting QA team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of global banking systems by leading test automation efforts, executing critical testing activities, and collaborating with teams in Singapore and our Paris headquarters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation testing initiatives leveraging our Selenium-based framework to enhance release quality and speed.
- Coordinate closely with developers and operations staff across Singapore and Paris to uphold quality standards.
- Participate actively in the department-wide test automation community by sharing expertise and driving best practices.
- Carry out essential non-regression tests to ensure application stability supporting worldwide banking operations.
- Analyze testing outcomes, identify defects, and work to resolve issues promptly.
- Manage and monitor scheduled test executions occurring daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Improve and maintain existing testing processes, workflows, and automation frameworks.
- Prepare detailed test documentation and reports for stakeholders.
- May be required to work in rotational shifts aligned with Central European Time to collaborate effectively with Paris teams.
Qualifications and Expertise
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or related fields.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Test Engineer, particularly in banking or financial services.
- Strong hands-on skills with Selenium test automation and Java programming.
- Proficient in Python and Java scripting for test development.
- Experience with version control tools like Git and CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins.
- Familiarity with SQL scripting targeting SQL Server or Oracle databases.
- Hands-on API testing experience, especially REST APIs.
- Desirable skills include knowledge of Docker, Kafka, MQSeries, Control-M scheduling tools, and observability platforms such as Grafana, Kibana, and Prometheus.
- Experience with Agile and ITIL frameworks, along with Lean management understanding, is a plus.
- Certifications in software testing such as ISTQB are advantageous.
Additional Information
The role may require shift work during CET hours to support collaboration with European operations and ensure continuous service availability. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic, internationally focused banking technology team.
