Job description

About the Role

Queen's Care and Empowerment Foundation (QCEF) has successfully completed an independent expert assessment of its Medically-Tailored Nutrition Program (MTNP), which has now received approval to proceed. The review panel encompassed medical experts, finance professionals, strategists, and mental health specialists who evaluated the clinical approach, financing, and implementation plans. MTNP aims to provide specialized nutrition, supplements, and medication support to pregnant and post-natal women, individuals with Type 2 diabetes, and those suffering from chronic kidney disease within Abuja through collaboration with government hospitals.

Role Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the publicity and communications strategies for MTNP from the launch phase through its ongoing rollout.
  • Achieve significant national media coverage across broadcast, print, and digital platforms, establishing and maintaining strong media relationships.
  • Develop comprehensive messaging frameworks including launch narratives, press materials, spokesperson preparations, and core messages.
  • Establish QCEF and its leadership as trusted authorities in health, nutrition, and social impact sectors.
  • Coordinate with program teams to convert field outcomes into publishable stories while ensuring the dignity and consent of beneficiaries.
  • Enhance visibility of corporate sponsors, CSR initiatives, faith-based groups, and development partners associated with MTNP.
  • Proactively manage potential reputational risks specific to the healthcare sector.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated extensive experience managing publicity for major programs, organizations, or brands; this position requires senior-level expertise.
  • Established active working connections with Nigerian broadcast, print, and digital media.
  • Proven track record of securing media coverage personally attributable to your efforts.
  • Exceptional writing and critical editorial skills.
  • Discreet ability to work respectfully within clinical environments involving patients, hospitals, and medical partners.
  • Comfortable engaging and presenting at executive and board levels.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Background in health, development, or nonprofit sectors.
  • Experience handling crisis communications and sensitive issues.
  • Existing networks with development agencies or donor bodies.
