Protective Services Operations Manager

About the Role

Securitas Ireland is searching for an experienced Protective Services Operations Manager to oversee and elevate the security service delivery across multiple strategic client accounts nationwide. This position operates closely with the Protective Services Branch Manager, focusing on operational excellence, staff motivation, compliance alignment, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing a diverse portfolio of client sites throughout the Republic of Ireland.
• Lead and engage security personnel and supervisors across various locations.
• Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.
• Manage staffing activities including recruitment support, rostering, payroll accuracy, billing precision, and cost monitoring.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation such as site instructions, risk assessments, and quality management records.
• Track performance metrics and address any risks related to service or compliance promptly.
• Promote employee welfare initiatives, enhance engagement, provide training, and improve staff retention.
• Oversee incident management, health and safety reporting, and disciplinary/grievance procedures.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, unions, and internal teams.
• Conduct site visits regularly and participate in client meetings, audits, and performance reviews.
• Act as Duty Manager when required and deputise for the Protective Services Branch Manager as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated leadership in security operations or similar multi-site, personnel-focused environments.
• In-depth knowledge of compliance, health and safety, audits, and quality management systems.
• Strong financial acumen related to payroll, billing, and cost control.
• Excellent communication skills with a confident client-facing presence and stakeholder management ability.
• Leadership style that balances authority with empathy and professionalism.
• Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced work atmosphere with high accountability.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience managing or training large security teams and working with global clients.
• Authorized to work in Ireland and either hold or able to obtain a valid PSA Security Licence.
• Possession of a full, valid European driving license with ability to travel to various sites nationwide.
• Proficient in IT tools, including Microsoft Office and operational management systems.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours as operational needs dictate.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in business, security, management, or related fields.
• Professional security certifications, such as CPP, or equivalent experience.
• Experience collaborating with unions, managing audits, and handling large key account clients.
