About the Role
Join an award-winning civil contractor in the South Island as a Project Manager responsible for delivering a range of drainage, earthworks, subdivision, and roading projects. This is an excellent position for professionals with extensive experience in bulk and minor earthworks, roading, subdivision, or drainage project leadership at either Project Manager or experienced Project Engineer level.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage various civil infrastructure projects end-to-end across the Central Otago region.
- Handle contracts management effectively throughout project lifecycles.
- Lead staff activities including recruitment, professional growth, and performance monitoring.
- Oversee financial performance, including project budgeting and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with quality, health, and safety standards.
- Coordinate pre- and post-award project planning and scheduling.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a relevant qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Approximately five years’ experience as a Project Manager or Project Engineer within civil construction.
- Proven track record in construction management within New Zealand.
- Strong capabilities in financial and programme management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Hold a current, clean Class 1 driving license.
- Willingness to undergo drug, alcohol, and criminal background checks.
- Full working rights in New Zealand.
