Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee the comprehensive delivery of commercial catering and laundry installations. Responsibilities include ensuring projects finish on schedule, within financial plans, and meet strict quality and safety benchmarks. This hands-on position involves technical direction, on-site leadership, and resource management strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from initiation through to completion ensuring clear governance around scope, goals, resources, budget, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with sales and operations teams to align project execution with agreed frameworks and maintain validated schedules.
  • Manage project scope tightly by documenting and authorizing any alterations.
  • Provide leadership and advisory support to help management and teams make informed changes.
  • Coach, motivate, and mediate project team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to guarantee smooth operations.
  • Ensure all activities comply with health and safety laws, company quality standards, specifications, and engineering best practices.
  • Track milestones, generate progress reports, monitor contractual compliance, and mitigate commercial risks.
  • Address issues promptly throughout the lifecycle and champion process improvements in project controls and reporting.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Comprehensive understanding of construction project delivery methods and principles.
  • Strong financial acumen including cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledgeable about procurement, contract management, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with design coordination, technical specifications, and quality assurance procedures.
  • Familiarity with Lean construction or Agile project methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience managing construction-related projects.
  • Proven track record of taking projects from concept to handover.
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCad drawings.
  • Understanding of commercial kitchen and laundry design, foodservice equipment, mechanical/electrical systems, ventilation, drainage, and hygiene standards.
